The Interview Show Celebrates Five Years
Girl and the Goat chef Stephanie Izard, Mekons great Jon Langford, Johnny Carson biographer Bill Zehme and surprise guest Jeff Tweedy of Wilco all stopped by to celebrate The Interview Show Feb. 1. Thanks to everyone for an amazing night, and thank you to everyone who has come out to shows over the last five years, watched the videos online and been so supportive in general. OK, enough of that. We got another show March 1, 2013. See all the details to the right, and hope to see you there.

Girl and the Goat’s Stephanie Izard Returns to The Interview Show
Stephanie Izard, chef/owner of Girl and the Goat and now Little Goat, stopped by the fifth anniversary of “The Interview Show,” hosted by Mark Bazer, at The Hideout. Stephanie talks her success over the last four years, what makes a great diner … and where she’s supposed to be during the interview. (Filmed Feb. 1, 2013)
Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy (and the Chicago Fire Dept.) Stop By The Interview Show
Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy stopped by “The Interview Show” at The Hideout — and, as you will see, so did the Chicago Fire Department — on Feb. 1, 2013. Tweedy talked with host Mark Bazer about music, crime shows and . . . fire codes. Plus: a performance of Washington Phillips’ “What Are They Doing in Heaven Today,” which Mavis Staples covers on her upcoming Tweedy-produced album.
Five Years of The Interview Show
“The Interview Show,” a talk show in a bar — actually, two amazing bars, The Hideout in Chicago and Union Hall in Brooklyn — began in February 2008.
Hosted by Mark Bazer, the show celebrated its fifth anniversary Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at The Hideout, with Jeff Tweedy, Jon Langford, Stephanie Izard and Bill Zehme. We also showed this highlight reel, which features Nate Berkus, Chuck Klosterman, Eugene Mirman, Jeanne Gang, John Green and many more.
Ben Chandler put together this highlight reel — taken from the hundreds of videos he has shot, edited and produced throughout the five years. Also, big thanks to Kevin Viol, Adam Peindl and Marlon Aguilar.
